The O'Connors had a busy 2025!

Inge's parents moved in with them in March, 2025 so she could help coordinate care for her mother who was suffering from dementia. We are sad to share that she passed away on November 18, 2025 (a tribute can be found at wettlaufer.org). Thank you to all who have reached out.

Inge continues to teach at SU and plays pickleball any chance she gets. She traveled as much as possible to see the kids - Emily in Seattle, Matthew in Boston, Nancy around the country and Alice in Rochester. She achieved her goal of attending every one of Alice's senior year soccer games and enjoyed them all thoroughly!

Kieran continues to manage technology for ESM schools. He also coordinated and directed many Scrabble tournaments with his friend Josh, including large tournaments in Albany and Lake George.

Emily is now living on the East Coast!!!!! She moved to Brooklyn this fall and continues working for Parse Biosciences, now remotely with occasional trips back to Seattle. She recently completed her first marathon - congratulations, Emily!

Matthew lives in Boston and spends his time sports betting and playing Scrabble. He ran multiple Scrabble tournaments this year and enjoys traveling to tournaments around the country. He also commentates Scrabble tournaments, writes about Scrabble on Medium, and wrote a book on Scrabble strategy (matthewjoconnor.com). Matthew also recently completed a Masters degree in Applied Data Analytics from Boston College.

Nancy is very excited to be working as the Associate Conductor for the new musical Wonder at the A.R.T. in Cambridge, MA! She spent much of the past year traveling across the US working for the first National Tour of A Beautiful Noise, the Neil Diamond Musical, where she was the Associate Conductor and loved exploring many new cities and seeing family and friends! She still works for the Boston Children’s Chorus as their arranger. We were thrilled that Nancy was able to be home for Thanksgiving this year!

Alice is now a senior at Nazareth University studying Physical Therapy. She had a great senior year of soccer, earning many accolades including being named to the E8 All-Tournament team. Alice plans to continue working with the Nazareth women's soccer team next year as graduate assistant coach.

Gracie, despite her advanced age, continues to graciously put up with Rosie's rambunctious nature.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2026!
